Join Mojave Desert Land Trust for the Last
Land Restoration Event of the Season!
Joshua Tree, CA – On May 21st and 22nd, Mojave Desert Land Trust invites you to join fellow Land Stewards for a fun optional camping and restoration day in beautiful Mojave National Preserve. This is our last Land Restoration Event of the season until September, so don't miss out on this fun opportunity to camp out for a cause!
Participants will learn valuable desert restoration techniques, while helping to restore OHV trails in the Lanfair Area – these are techniques which could even be applied to your own backyard! A community stove will provide coffee and warm drinks in the morning and at night. Camping is free of charge.

This leisurely walk is sure to entice nature lovers with a slice of the Mojave Desert’s unique floral display. Walkers will learn about the native flora, as well as the native fauna that rely on it for food and shelter. The Quail Mountain ecosystem is home to many annuals and perennials, such as Desert Dandelion, Checker Fiddleneck, Mojave Aster, Desert Mallow, Desert Senna, and many others. Visitors will also encounter the many plants that define this iconic landscape – Mojave Yucca, Beavertail Cactus, and Creosote Bush just to name a few.
Those wishing to participate in optional camping will meet at the Hole in the Wall Campground on Saturday, May 21st. All participants will depart from the camp ground at 8am on Sunday, May 22nd to drive to the restoration site in Lanfair.
Please RSVP by contacting Miz Seita at 760-366-0542 or by email at mizuki@sheltondouthit.com.
